About Janine
My Gardening Journey
- In the back of my yard stands a huge oak tree, so majestic and full of life that we affectionately named her the Tree of Life. One day, as I gazed at her towering branches, a thought crossed my mind— she must be awfully lonely.
- I looked around my yard, and aside from the grass, there was nothing growing with her or around her. That’s when it hit me: I need more beautiful things in my yard!
- And just like that, my gardening journey began.
- I started small—one raised bed, then another. I devoured gardening books, watched countless YouTube videos, and even enrolled in a Master Gardener course (though I never completed certification because my demanding 8AM–11PM job (overexaggerating just a teeny tiny bit) made volunteering impossible.
- Then, Covid happened. With extra time on my hands, I found myself planting, creating, and building more than ever. What started as a way to bring life to my yard soon transformed into something even greater: a passion, a lifestyle, and a brand.
- And so, in the middle of Covid, Quarantine Garden Queen was born.
My Vision
- At Quarantine Garden Queen, my goal is simple:
- To inspire and empower you to transform your space into a personal garden oasis—no matter how big or small – 1 plant in your home to 55 plants in your garden beds.
- Gardening isn’t just about growing plants - it’s about growing confidence, creativity, and joy. Whether you have a sprawling backyard, a small balcony, or just a sunny windowsill, you can create something beautiful.
- This space is for you, and I hope it inspires you to pick up a trowel and start your own garden journey!
